Mazda Infotainment Voice Commands
If your Mazda vehicle is equipped to receive voice commands for use of the vehicle’s infotainment system, then you’ll likely want to know the best way to communicate with the system. Mazda infotainment voice commands are easy to remember and simple to use. Though they are intuitive, you’ll want to take a look at the proper voice commands before you begin using your voice control functions while traveling.
For these purposes, we are going to use the commands for the 2016 Mazda CX-3. Be sure to use this guide in conjunction with your owner’s manuals in order to receive the most accurate and complete information for your model.
Activate voice control by pressing the “Talk” button on the steering wheel controls. Once activated, you’re ready to use one of the commands below.

“Go To” Commands
These commands allow you to go to whichever screen you’d like on the infotainment system. Simply combine the phrase “go to” with the name of the screen you would like to be taken to.
Play Commands
Another common command is the “Play” command. As expected, this can be used for playing your favorite music. Simply say “Play” followed by the music you want using the commands below.
How to Make a call Using Mazda Voice Commands
In addition to the voice commands above, you can also use voice commands to talk on the phone using Mazda Bluetooth. Begin by pressing the “Talk” button on the steering wheel controls:
- Say “Phone”
- Say “Call Number” after the beep
- Say the number you would like to dial
- Say “Call”
