What Is Included in the New 2016 Mazda CX-9 Signature Trim?
The 2016 Mazda CX-9 is finally here, and it comes with plenty of significant changes and upgrades, including a brand new design. For the 2016 model year, the CX-9 adopts Mazda’s striking KODO design language, but in addition to the exterior changes, the model also gets a brand new trim level that makes it look better than ever: the Signature trim.
The CX-9 has never looked more upscale and sophisticated. Here is what Mazda has to say about the attention to detail in the model’s interior:
“From the moment one steps foot into the new CX-9, that person is greeted by an atmosphere of beauty and detail. Even the door jambs are finished with a level of precision that lends and air or sophistication.”

2016 Mazda CX-9 Signature Trim Features and Specs
We’ll let the photos of the new CX-9 do most of the talking, but there are a few thing we’d like to make a special mention of regarding the new Signature trim.
On this new trim, you’ll find a piece of aluminum stretching across the dashboard, offering a look of both elegance and modernity. The dashboard itself is angled forward with a sharp flow, hugged by Auburn accents. Like other trims for the model, the Signature trim also features the Mazda Connect infotainment display prominently set atop the dashboard.
Perhaps one of the most sophisticated design pieces in this new trim level is the rosewood accent. This rosewood trim outlines the center console’s shift knob and commander control knob. Apparently, Mazda wanted this wood trim to be so top quality, that it comes supplied by a premium guitar maker.
Last, but certainly not least, is the Signature trim’s seating surfaces. In this top level trim, seats are covered by Auburn Nappa leather that Mazda said is “evocative of bespoke horse saddles.”
