2016 Mazda CX-9 Color Options

We’ve been discussing Mazda’s all-new CX-9 midsize SUV on our blog for some time, and now that we know many of the important features and specs, it’s time for drivers to start thinking about picking out a CX-9 for themselves once it arrives in the spring/summer of 2016. Of course, a key part of picking out a vehicle that is just right for you is knowing the 2016 Mazda CX-9 color options. After all, the exterior paint color is the easiest way to add a personal touch to your vehicle.

2016 Mazda CX-9 Paint Colors

Mazda has announced that the full list (dependent on market) of 2016 Mazda CX-9 paint color options will include the following:

Soul Red
Sonic Silver
Jet Black
Deep Crystal Blue
Titanium Flash
Snowflake White Pearl
Machine Gray

It’s been exciting to see the new colors Mazda has rolled out to complement its KODO-Soul of Motion design language, and with the 2016 CX-9, we see another brand new paint color: Machine Gray. Mazda revealed the model in this color, which features a black base coat that really comes through in certain lighting for a bold, yet refined, look. In other light, the Machine Gray CX-9 appears as more of a vibrant and polished silver.

The paint is applied in a primer, followed by the black base coat for depth. After that, the Machine Gray color is added, which is followed by a clear coat. Mazda spaces out the time of each application so that the paint has time to set. Of course, Soul Red is another color that has been popularized with KODO-designed vehicles, featuring the same type of unique depth that we see from Machine Gray.
