The locations listed below should be able to help you dispose of your car tires in the proper way. West Orange Environmental Center
The web page for recycling at the West Orange Environmental Center lists tires without rims as an acceptable recycling item. The center is located at 590 Mount Pleasant Ave. in West Orange NJ, with hours listed as Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. That said, you’ll want to be sure to contact them beforehand to verify this info.
Tire Management in Paterson NJ
Tire Management is a tire recycling and scrap removal company in Paterson. If you have tires that need recycling, you can contact them at 800-244-7704. The company’s location is from 280 to 286 Marshall St. in Paterson. Again, be sure to call ahead of time to verify service hours and availability.
Bergen County Utilities Authority, Four Collection Days
The Bergen County Utilities Authority sponsors a Municipal Tire Recycling Program. With this, there are four tire amnesty tire collection days that take place throughout the county. The remaining dates for 2016 are Jun. 4 and Oct. 23 in Mahwah at the Bergen County Campgaw Mountain Reservation at 200 Campgaw Road, as well as Aug. 21 at the Bergen Community College at 400 Paramus Rd. in Paramus.
