Where Are the Rear Seat Heaters on the 2017 Mazda6?
For the 2017 model year, the Mazda6 is more upscale and sophisticated than ever. One of the reasons for this is the fact that the midsize sedan is available with rear outboard seat warmers, allowing all passengers to stay warm and comfortable during the drive. Finding out where the rear seat heater switch is located to turn the heaters on, however, might confuse some 2017 Mazda6 passengers.

Accessing the seat warmer controls isn’t difficult, but the switches might be hidden from your view. That’s because the 2017 Mazda6 rear seat heater controls are located on the rear seat fold-down armrest with cup holders that are situated on the center seatback. Just fold this down to access the rear seat warmer switches.
How Do the Mazda6 Rear Outboard Heated Seats Work?
As you can see, accessing the location of the rear heated seat controls is easy once you know where to look. But if you’d like to know more about how the heated seat system and its controls work, we have more to information to share with you.
Turning the rear seat heaters on and be done by pressing one of the buttons on either side of the armrest cup holders. You’ll notice that three bars light up, which indicates that the heaters are on the high setting. You can hit the button again to set them at the mid (two lights) or low (one light) settings. When none of the lights are illuminated, this means the heaters are off.
In most cases, however, you won’t have to worry about turning them off manually. The warmers automatically turn off after 90 minutes, as well as when you turn the vehicle off. You will, however, want to be sure to set them to off whenever you are folding down the rear seatback.
