August is quickly approaching, and that means that one of the summer’s most beloved traditions is upon us: the state fair! The 2018 New Jersey State Fair takes place in Sussex County at 37 Plans Road in August, NJ from Friday, August 3 to Sunday, August 12. 2018 New Jersey State Fair Schedule and Ticket Information

The 2018 New Jersey State Fair is open 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. from Friday, August 3 until Saturday, August 11. On August 12, the fair will be open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The New Jersey State Fair and Sussex County Farm and Horse Show has something from everyone! There are tons of animals, live music and entertainment, food and drink, contest, giveaways and so, so much more! One of the biggest highlights of the fair is number of carnival rides and games! And if you go on opening day (Friday, August 3), you can ride every ride for just $1 a piece! Not too bad!

Tickets for adults are available at the gate for $14, while tickets for children (6-12) are $6. Seniors (60+) admission is $10 and Military Veterans get free admission with proper ID!

You can save more money by buying in advance! Adult tickets purchased before the start of the fair (August 3) are just $9, while children and senior tickets are just $5!

Looking for the best value? Check out the Carnival Mega Pass which includes admission for the day and unlimited carnival rides. Adults (13 and older) can purchase mega passes for $30, which children (6-12) can grab one for $25. These are only available before August 3, so hurry today!
