2016 Holiday Events and Activities in Bergen County NJ
Christmas Market in New Milford NJ
On Dec. 11 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., the Teaneck Elks Lodge 2290 will be hosting a Christmas Market craft and vendor show. Check out numerous vendors and all the goods that they have available. It’s a great way to shop for gifts or for decorations at home. Food and beverages will also be on sale.
There are likely many places where you’ll be able to get your photo taken with Santa, but one great option is at the Paramus Park Mall. Santa will be available for pictures from now through Christmas Eve, with hours varying. Therefore, be sure to check out what times he will be available. You can also make a reservation ahead of time.
Winter Wonderland at Van Saun Park
The Winter Wonderland taking place at Van Saun Park in Paramus is a must-attend festivity for those in the area. Rather than it being one event on a single day, it is instead an attraction for those wishing to celebrate all season long. Features of the Winter Wonderland include open air ice skating, Santa’s North Pole workshop, Bergen Express train ride, food trucks, zoo entry, an indoor/outdoor beer garden and much more.
Christmas at The Hermitage Museum
Visit Ho-Ho-Kus to check out the happenings at The Hermitage Museum. Events include a Champagne and Candlelight holiday festivity that includes wine, music and a silent auction on Dec. 11 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. There is also a Santa’s Workshop event for the kids on Dec. 18 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. that includes arts and crafts, as well as photos with Santa himself.
