2016 Mazda CX-5 Safety Rating and Review
Just like the model for the 2015 model year, the 2016 Mazda CX-5 has been named a Top Safety Pick+ by the IIHS. The IIHS does crashworthiness tests for head restraints and seats, small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side and roof strength. The 2016 CX-5 received the highest rating of “Good” in each category. Another rating is done for front crash prevention, in which the CX-5 received a rating of “Superior” when outfitted with optional equipment.
