Mazda Reliability Recognized in Consumer Reports Ranking
A Consumer Reports evaluation of Mazda reliability and road test scores recognized Mazda as a top brand. The tests compiled by the leading consumer publication placed Mazda second overall in North America.
The Mazda ranking was determined through an examination of predicted reliability and road test scores, which were a combination of fuel efficiency, driving and handling dynamics, and other factors. Only Lexus placed higher, but the nearly first place ranking could act as a testament to Mazda reliability and innovation.
So what continues to make Mazda one of the leaders of the pack, especially considering the number of brand new models hitting the highway? Much of it could be attributed to Mazda’s SKYACTIV technology. The groundbreaking SKYACTIV engine is able to produce more low/mid-range torque, all while remaining highly fuel efficient. The i-Eloop technology provides additional fuel efficiency by harnessing energy from braking to distribute it to other places in your vehicle.
The SKYACTIV body and chassis were also designed to improve body rigidity by 30 percent while casting off extra weight, leading to better performances in crash safety tests. How is that for Mazda reliability?
Mazda vehicles continue to move forward. If there wasn’t already enough excitement over the upcoming 2016 Mazda models, this recognition of Mazda reliability should convince anyone in the market for a new vehicle to get behind the wheel of a Mazda.
