Mazda Awards and Recognition for 2016
Winning awards is nothing new to Mazda, but it still always feels great when it happens. It seems like lately, we’ve been sharing news all the time about Mazda awards and recognition for the 2016 model year, and we have one more piece of news to share that spans throughout the Mazda lineup. New York Daily News recently revealed its Auto Awards, in which Mazda came up big.
The 2016 New York Daily News Auto Awards are broken up into several category, with one top model in each one. The winning vehicles were selected by nine automotive journalists who had the task of determining which vehicle they would recommend most to friends or family in each category. Here is where Mazda took top honors:
Fun Car Winner: 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata
Small Car Winner: 2016 Mazda 3
Family Car Winner: 2016 Mazda 6
City SUV Winner: 2016 Mazda CX-3
Small SUV Winner: 2016 Mazda CX-5
As you can see, Mazda really dominated. The only vehicle from the current lineup that didn’t earn an award is the 2016 Mazda CX-9, and that vehicle has not yet been released for sale.
