Receiving a text through Mazda Connect
With the phone and vehicle audio system on, you can have up to 20 messages downloaded from your smartphone at one time. This should take place automatically if the “Auto Download Text” function is selected in your settings menu.
By selecting the “Communication” button on the Mazda Connect home screen, you can access your text message inbox. In addition, if the “SMS Notification” function is turned on, you will also receive alerts when an incoming message is received. Select “Read” to display the message. While the vehicle is moving, the system will only read out the message to you, but when parked you can also read the message yourself.
How to Reply to a Text Message on Mazda Connect
You can reply to a message by selecting the “Reply” button. You can then select from a list of preset messages to send. If necessary, these can be edited by going to “Settings” and then selecting “Preset Messages.” Select the message you want to edit and then use the keyboard to type your message.
