How Do Mazda Auto Leveling Headlights Work?
Headlight technology has changed quite a bit over the years, and not just in the way of LED or HID lights. For example, some Mazda models may come equipped with auto leveling headlights, which can improve visibility and make nighttime driving safer. How do they work and how do you use them? Allow us to explain.

So, what are auto leveling headlights exactly? To explain it simply, auto leveling headlights are designed to adjust the angle at which they shine light so that the road is always properly illuminated. This angle can change depending on how many people or how much cargo is in a vehicle, for example, so having lights that automatically adjust can be useful to your safety. Moreover, the lights can also angle to the left or right to help you see around corners, responding to the direction in which the steering wheel is turned.
How to Turn the Auto Leveling Lights On or Off?
The auto leveling headlights should automatically be activated whenever the headlights are on. That way, there is nothing special for you to worry about when it comes to seeing properly at night.
With that said, if you do want to turn them off or back on, there is an easy way to do so. Simply direct your attention to your vehicle’s infotainment screen and access the Settings menu from the home screen. Select the Vehicle tab from the top of the screen, and from there select Lighting. On the next screen, select Adaptive Front-lighting system. If there is a check mark in the box, it indicates that the system is on.
