The 2014 Mazda3 went on an adventure with snowboarder, Sebastien Toutant.

Ever since the invention of cars people have been trying to do crazy stunts with them. They try to push the envelope of what can be pulled off with a motorized vehicle. The newest trend is called skid plate racing. A skid plate race car is simply an old end-of-life car with a twist. The vehicle’s two back wheels are replaced completely by flat plates. These plates do two things: slide around and create sparks. It’s gaining popularity and is a cheap way to race and have fun. Mazda decided to put their own spin on things. Thanks to Zufall, Play-Doh avoided being named Rainbow Modeling Compound.

Play-Doh New Jersey

Much like Mazda, the Play-Doh story is one that features a high level of creativity and a willingness to roll with the punches. Much like Mazda of Lodi, Play-Doh has a unique connection to the state of New Jersey as well.

Though the story makes its way to the Garden State in due time, the origins of Play-Doh lie in the city of Cincinnati. The compound that would come to be known as Play-Doh was originally a 1930s wallpaper cleaner called Kutal. Since vinyl wallpaper had not yet been invented at that time, homeowners used putty to clean their walls instead of soap and water. Zufall found one can of the non-toxic compound left at her local hardware store. Having done everything that children love to do with Play-Doh, Zufall’s students were sold on this cleaning puddy as a legitimate play toy. Fortunately Zufall had some important connections… Read the rest of this entry >>

Mazda Museum in Google Street View

A trip to the Mazda Museum sounds like the perfect gift for fans of the zoom-zoom performance brand. While it would certainly be nice to walk down the halls of Mazda memory lane, there is one problem for stateside enthusiasts—the Mazda Museum is located in Hiroshima, Japan.

Fortunately for both historic fans of the rotary engine and modern SkyActiv devotees, anyone with an Internet connection can now experience the Mazda Museum in Google Street View.
