2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF Standard Features and Pricing
Ever since we first revealed the news about the hard-top MX-5 Miata RF, Miata fans have been waiting in anticipation to learn more about it. Now that Mazda has begun production on the model ahead of its early 2017 release, we have been informed of the 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF’s standard features and pricing.
2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF Starting MSRP
The RF in the model’s name stands for retractable fastback, so of course, a sleek hard-top roof comes standard. But we think drivers like you might be surprised to find just how generously equipped the new 2017 model is.
To start, the 2017 MX-5 Miata RF starts at an MSRP of just $31,555. Yes, that is just a little bit more than the soft-top 2016 MX-5 Miata, but there are a couple good reasons to expect that. For one, the model has an electronically retractable hard-top roof. In addition, rather than starting with the same base Sport trim level found on the soft-top 2016 Miata, the 2017 Miata RF’s entry level trim is the Club model equipped with a manual transmission.

What Features Come With the 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF Club Trim Level?
Although that starting MSRP is still quite reasonable for such a thrilling roadster, you’ll likely want to know just how much value you’re getting. Well, let us show you just how generously equipped the vehicle is.
The standard Club models equipped with a manual transmission (the entry level configuration) feature a standard 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a nine-speaker audio system. This is something you’ll find standard on many Mazda models these days, but the Miata RF definitely delivers a more upscale feel to the roadster. That’s because it comes standard with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, LED headlights, a Bilstein suspension, headrest-mounted speakers and premium cloth seats with red stitching. A Brembo/BBS Package for the manual transmission Club model includes a front shock-tower brace, Brembo front brakes and side sill body extensions.
If you opt for some of the available equipment rather than sticking to the standard features and pricing on the 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF, you can move up to the Grand Touring trim unless you’re lucky enough to get the roadster in a Launch Edition configuration.
