2016 North American Car and Truck of the Year Nominees
How do you know when a vehicle is good? Of course, driving it or taking it for a test drive is a good way to tell. Another great way to tell if a model is exceptionally drive-worthy is when it gets recognized for awards, and that is the case with the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata and 2016 Mazda CX-3. Both models have been included in a list of the 2016 North American Car and Truck of the Year nominees.
The award is a unique one, as it is given out by a group of automotive journalists rather than one particular automotive group or publication. The journalists are all from either Canada or the United States, and they will make their decision based on such aspects as design, safety, value, handling and more.
The thrilling 2016 Mazda Miata has been added to the nominees for the North American Car of the Year, and it’s not much of a surprise either. The Miata has retained driving purity throughout the decades of its existence, with the 2016 model boosting fuel economy and shedding extra weight for an even more fun experience.

Being a subcompact crossover utility vehicle, the 2016 Mazda CX-3 falls under the truck/utility category. While the Miata roadster has been around for quite some time and developed a fame all its own, the CX-3 is brand new from Mazda. It pairs together a sleek and attractive design with versatility from its i-ACTIV AWD system and 60/40 fold down rear seats inside the comfortable interior.
