Mazda North American Operations president and CEO, Jim O’Sullivan, had this to say about the recognition: “The award is a testament to our efforts to develop segment-leading vehicles featuring the newest technology, premium materials and enhanced style – and that we’re creating vehicles that drivers want to drive.”
Awards were given out in the categories of the best SUV brand, best truck brand and best luxury brand, using the combined overall ranking scores for all models in each class, which are based on published, credible reviews from automotive press and safety/reliability. Mazda took the top spot in the car brand category, and for those of us who drive a Mazda, it’s not difficult to understand why the brand would be ranked so highly.
