Apple CarPlay will allow users to play music, make calls and more using voice control. The interface resembles the familiar Apple design that iPhone owners are already accustomed to using. It will be easy for users to adapt because it looks so similar to their phone screen. The system will be able to be controlled by voice, touch, or controls on the steering wheel of some vehicles.
Many of these features are helped by the Apple intelligent personal assistant, Siri. With the help of Siri and Apply Maps, users are able to use voice commands to ask for directions. Apple Maps will give turn by turn directions, traffic conditions and estimated travel times. Siri will also read and send messages and e-mails just by using your voice. It will also have the already standard hands free calling. All of these great features will make sure you never take your eyes off the road.
New Mazda models will have Apple CarPlay right in the center console.
Even when you aren’t communicating with other people you can stay entertained on your daily commute. You can tell Siri what you want to listen to based on whatever podcasts, music, or apps you have on your phone. Right now CarPlay is compatible with Beats Music, iHeartRadio, At Bat, Spotify, Stitcher, iTunes Radio, and any music that is already downloaded on your phone.
