Is Mazda Bringing Back the CX-7?
Though Mazda’s CX-7 crossover model was retired in 2012, it doesn’t mean drivers haven’t been awaiting its return. The popularity of Mazda’s CX-5 compact SUV may overshadow the absence of the CX-7, with a new CX-3 now released, some may wonder what model could fill the gap between the CX-5 and larger CX-9 midsize SUV. Now, there may be some hints to suggest that Mazda is bringing back the CX-7.

Is a production version of the Koeru concept the new Mazda CX-7?
A while back, we shared the news of Mazda’s sleek and stylish Koeru concept revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Mazda stated that the concept model was a look toward next-generation products from the brand, and now, rumors suggest we could be seeing those products come to fruition.
“As the latest incarnation of Mazda’s new-generation products, the Mazda Koeru crossover concept offers styling that exudes power, vitality and a new level of polished refinement. Targeted at customers with a cutting-edge mind-set, the Mazda Koeru is a bold challenge to the existing crossover market and embodies Mazda’s on-going quest to deliver pure driving pleasure.”
As if the Koeru concept wasn’t enough of a hint that Mazda may be gearing up to produce a new crossover model, rumors around the Internet have been suggesting it to be so as well.

Mazda May Be Producing a New CX-4, CX-6 or CX-7
Rumors and photos that have surfaced online appear to reveal a new crossover model from Mazda. That being said, no official word has been announced from Mazda, but the rumors going around suggest this new production model could be named the CX-4, CX-6 or CX-7. We’re guessing the CX-7.
When the Koeru concept was first revealed, we explained how its dimensions appeared to fit in between those of the CX-5 and CX-9. The concept had a height close to that of the new CX-3, but a length (181 in.) and width (74.8 in.) that fit between Mazda’s compact and midsize SUV offerings. After all, a new CX-7 would complete the odd-number sequence that Mazda’s crossover and SUV lineup appear to be named after.

If Mazda really is bringing back the CX-7, it could help complete the brand’s crossover lineup. Though there are few details to go on, as much of this information comes down to rumors and unconfirmed photos, a new crossover model could come with the new 2.5-liter turbocharged SKYACTIV engine making its debut in the all-new 2016 CX-9. For now, however, we’ll have to keep you updated on the Mazda of Lodi blog should these rumors be confirmed and should the model actually be made available in the United States.
Aloha, in 2010 I purchased a new Mazda CX7 for $24,000; (cash) w/only 19 miles on it.
I bought it with a cashiers check out right.
My experience with this crossover was the most impeccable memories of any vehicle I’ve owned.
I made a trip from Louisiana to New York & back.
Trip from Louisiana to Pheonix Az. and back 3 times.
Trip Louisiana to California and back 4 times and even shipped it to and fro Hawaii.
I loved that car and miss it greatly.
Best suv crossover ever in my opinion!
I sold it when I went to the Philippines in 2016, ( only had 46,000 miles at that time); when I returned to the USA. a year & half later, I wanted to purchase a newer model and discovered Mazda discontinued the awesome CX7.
I was devastated. I’m still waiting for them to bring back the CX7 so I can purchase it. The lines were so aerodynamic and clean. Smooth handling and the extra power under cover when need, also the awesome manual shifting which came in handy when needed in the mountains of Polynesia for upward inclines. But most of all the comfortablility that made you realise you’re in the captain seat cruising through time on any highway with best performance any suv could offer.
Not to mention all thesafety

Not to mention all the safety features incorporated into its every inch of design from bumper to bumper/exterior to interior.
Mazda truly designed the CX7 with family safety in mind w/this crossover.
